Mildura has been named the top fruit-picking town and was the second runner up in Australia Town of the Year – as decided by Wotif.com.
Places all around the country were rated on their affordability, demand, interest and the number of listed accommodation. Research was carried out across a nationally representative sample of Australian travelers – and Mildura has come out on top.
As a major horticultural center, the region produces 75% of the country’s table grapes and accounts for a massive number of fruit and nuts that are consumed on a daily basis.
We’re also incredibly lucky to have fine Murray river salt as well as delicious Mallee lamb and Murray cod.
With the introduction of SproutX to the scene, Mildura will develop and enhance it’s agriculture industry by using the latest technology to increase productivity and returns – so watch this space!
