Sun sets on Solar Hubs project
Over the last 2 years the Mildura Region Solar Hubs project has been promoting rooftop solar in the local area.
During this time the amount of solar photovoltaic (PV) installed across the entire region has increased from just 356kW, to 2,750kW.
The successes have been largely due to the community coming together and demanding the best quality solar products on the market.
This remarkable achievement has led to the Mildura Region Solar Hubs project being announced as a finalist for 2 of the Tidy Town awards for 2012: The Pam Keating Environmental Sustainability Award; and The Community/Government Partnerships Award.
Over the 2 year duration of this project we have also promoted solar PV to the community with increasing sales responsible for the installation of 571kW, including 80kW for Mildura Rural City Council, and also includes Victoria’s largest residential solar installation of 15kW.
As the program finishes we would like to thank you for your support and look forward to the next exciting phase for solar in the Mildura region.
